This is intended as a rough guide to dating L. Beckmann Instruments.  It is not known when Beckmann began putting serial numbers on his instruments and no records can be found for serial numbers 1-1006.

Serial numbers are referenced to date of sale not date of manufacture, but these should be relatively close.

8276-8696  =  1917
8697-8982  =  1918
8983-9428  =  1919
9429-9892  =  1920

After 1920 sales dates vary widely between sequential numbers.

9893-10000  =  1920-1923  
10000-11000  =  1923-1925    
11000-11622  =  1925-1940
